Madagascar. Lemurs - Tsiribihina River Cruise – Tsingy De Bemaraha – Valley of Baobabs

ANTANANARIVO - ANDASIBE Arrive to Antananarivo, Meet with your guide and transfer into Eastern direction to Andasibe (3-3,5 hours). Arrive to the lodge and relax, have a swim in a nice large pool, Dinner at the lodge. Overnight at Vakona Lodge 3* (HB)

ANDASIBE (National Park of Analamazaotra and private Vakona Reserva) Breakfast and visit of the National Park of Analamazaotra, protect area situated in Tamatave province’s, between 930 Meters and 1.040 Meters altitude, with tropical humid climate which temperature is around 10°C to 27°C, with 12.81 Ha area. The Analamazaotra reserve contained 11 species of lemurs which famous Indri-Indri or Babakoto, the biggest lemur in Madagascar, multitude species of reptiles, insects, birds, amphibians; it represents luxuriant vegetations also: orchids, palms, medical plants, ravinala (or “Traveler’s tree”). In the afternoon, visit of the private reserve of Vakona for admiring famous “Cryptoprocta ferox” or Fosa, and species of lemurs. Overnight at Vakona Lodge 3* (HB)

ANDASIBE - ANTANANARIVO After breakfast, return to Antananarivo with stop at Marozevo to visit the private reserve of MADAGASCAR EXOTIC or “Peyrieras” to observe: chameleons, crocodiles, reptiles, butterflies. And continuation to Antananarivo crossing by exuberant landscapes. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Du Louvre Hotel 4* (BB)

ANTANANARIVO - ANTSIRABE - MIANDRIVAZO (Tana - Antsirabe 170 km – around 4 hours, Anysirabe – Miandrivazo: 220km around 5 hours (tar road all the way) Early breakfast and departure to Miandrivazo. Arrival at Antsirabe, Excursion in this interesting town of Antsirabe and shopping for picnic lunch and bying our drinks for the cruise. And continuation to Miandrivazo, in Malagasy language “waiting place for a wife”. According to the history, King Radama I was waiting along the river Tsiribihina for his wife, who is none other than King Sakalava’s daughter. Passage through the Menabe plain or “big Red”, remindful of wild West. Dinner and overnight at the hotel Princess Tsiribihina 3* (HB).

MIANDRIVAZO - RIVER CRUISE In the morning, we will board our boat and start the river cruise through the quiet valley and original village of Miandrivazo. The trip is slow and you can relax while absorbing the breathtaking scenery. Sometimes, the boat has to be pushed over sandbank or two and you will rest as meals are served on the sheltered areas on the riverbanks. In the afternoon, we have opportunity to meet the birds species: pelica, heron, king fisher, etc… We stop in a scenic place for overnight and set up the camp with assistance of our guides. SECOND DAY of TSIRIBIHINA RIVER CRUISE Second day on the river. Today you visit the Gorge de Bemaraha to see lemurs and swim at the waterfall. The boat trip goes on to a traditional Sakalava village and you will have a chance to get more familiar with their every day life. After visiting this village you go to the riverside where you spend the night. Overnight in Tented Camp (FB)

LAST DAY of RIVER CRUISE - BEKOPAKA this morning we are finishing the cruise and arriving by lunchtime to little town of Belo Sur Tsiribihina. From here we travel by car to Bekopaka. The road is rough but it should not take us more then 2 hours. We cross river of Manambolo by ferry and arrive to our hotel in the afternoon. Relax at the pool with glass of wine or beer. Dinner and overnight at Olympe Du Bemaraha 3* (HB)

BEKOPAKA “PETIT TSINGY” Breakfast and departure by traditional canoe along the river Manambolo to the beautiful gorges covered with lush vegetation and visit the caves and whale burial Vazimba. In the afternoon, departure to explore the Small Tsingy, a pinnacle rock formations that stand on the surrounding savannah forming an almost impassable barrier that has preserved intact this primordial habitat. Exploration of the primary forest inhabited by lemurs and Sifaka Fulvus Rufus. Evening at leisure and relax at the pool. Dinner and overnight at the hotel Olympe Du Bemaraha 3* (HB)

BEKOPAKA “GRAND TSINGY” Breakfast and full day visit of the fantastic Big Tsingy, high pinnacles and sharp edges, arranged in geometric shape next to each other, whether created in the limestone wall by the erosion due to weathering hundreds of millions of years. You get closer to the base of the cliff in about an hour's drive across the savannah and scour the places decreed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Evening at leisure and relax at the pool. BEKOPAKA - KIRINDY RESERVE 200 km – around 5-6 hours of road (gravel) After beakfast heading south by gravel road again. We’ll take ferry through Tsiribihina river then continue towards a dry spiny forest to get to Private Forest Reserve of Kirindy, one of last age-old deciduous forests and also the largest stretch of forest in the west coast region. The flora is very rich and fauna presents an interesting diversity of lemurs. Nocturnal visit in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at the ecolodge Kirindi Forest 2* (HB)

KIRINDY RESERVE – VALLEY OF BAOBABS - MORONDAVA 130 km: around 2 hours (gravel) After breakfast departure for excursion into the private reserve of Kirindy. It’s a reserve houses a dry forest where we try to teach environmental rules and preserve endangered species. This forest has also six species of nocturnal lemurs ... and two diurnal species. The biggest attraction in this reserve is the mammals Fosa, Cryptoprocta ferox, the predator of lemurs. Several species of birds can be observed also. In the afternoon, continue through the Baobab Avenue to admire sunset with a little happy hour (aperitif). Arrival at Morondava, the capital of the Menabe Kingdom, along the Mozambique Channel, surrounded by mangroves and lagoons. Dinner and overnight at Baobab Café Hotel (HB)
