Day 2
Fort Dauphin to Faux Cap
Early morning you will be transferred to airport for your flight to Fort Dauphin. Our overland tour starts after arriving to Fort Dauphin which is the regional and urban center of the Tanosy region. We travel to Faux Cap, we pass through the Sonierana village and stop at the fresh fruit market. We pass through the Ranopiso commune located on the Tsimelahy mountain range. This mountain range separates the Tandroy dry Spiny Forest from the Tanosy rainforest. The first encounter in the Spiny Forest will be at the village of Bevilany. While passing by the Amboasary commune, we are able to see Madagascar’s largest plantation of sisal (an agave plant). We stay for the night in beach town of Faux Cap and there is a natural swimming pool protected by the coral reef where you can relax after the day’s journey. Overnight at Chalets at Faux Cap (BB)
Day 3
Faux Cap to Lavanono village
From Faux Cap, we travel to Cap Sainte Marie which is the southernmost point of Madagascar. We stop at Cap Sainte Marie Park and here will be our first opportunity to see some lemurs, tortoises and chameleons. We can also see a lot of Baobab trees in this area. We stop for overnight near Lavonono village in a Camping site near the beach. This area is also well known for its great surfing waves.
Day 4
Lavanono to Itampolo village
Leaving Lavanono, on our way to the village of Itampolo, we go in norhtern direction towards Lake Tsimanapetsotra Park, which we will visit tomorrow. Today is a difficult safari on less travelled roads with crossing rivers. All excitement awaits us today. Arriving to Itampolo. Overnight at Camping site at Baobab trees after Itampolo Village
Day 5
Itampolo – Tsimanapetsotra N.P. – Anakao fishing village
In the early morning we leave the camp and travel in nothern direction to Tsimanapetsotra Reserve. Before lunch we visit this interesting reserve where we can have a chance to see very rare Masdagascar Plover bird as well as lemurs and plenty of different species of baobabs. After the Reserve we will be travelling to Anakao to the beautiful part of Madagascar in south-western part of the country. Overnight at Anakao Beach Lodge (HB)
Day 6
Anakao
Relax at the beach in Anakao, do some water sports activities. In Anakao also you can see the endemic species of blind fish and visit a Vezo home and get introduced to their way of life. Vezo is a local tribe, who make their living from the sea. Overnight at Anakao Beach Lodge (HB)
Day 7
Toliara – Antananarivo
We drive to Toliara. The road is difficult and bumpy and we will move slow arriving to Toliara in the afternoon. In Toliara we will eat, and visit big markets in town with tons to see. Whether you’re a shopper or just a people-watcher. Transfer to Toliara airport in late afternoon. Flight in the evening to Antananarivo and connect to your flight home late at nights or early in the morning

Day 2
