Tanzania, Kilimanjaro Climbing and Short Tanzania Safari

Arrival at Kilimanjaro airport (Tanzania). Meet your guide and transfer to Moshi Town. Evening at leisure and rest. Kilimanjaro climb briefing. Dinner and overnight at Weru Weru Lodge (DBB)

After breakfast depart for Kilimanjaro National Park gate at Marangu. Registration and start the first section of the climb through the mountain forest to Mandara Hut at 2750 m. Ascend for about 3 to 4 hours. Meals and overnight at Mandara hut (FB)

Leaving the forest after breakfast, you trek along a good path through open grassy moorland to reach Horombo Hut at 3700 m. Today is 5 to 7 hours trek. Picnic lunch on a way. Dinner and overnight Horombo hut (FB)

Continue ascending past the last water point traversing the saddle between Kibo and Mawenzi to Kibo Hut at the height of 4700 m. Walking takes approximately 5 to 7 hours. Dinner and overnight Kibo hut (FB)

A very early start for the summit on steep and heavy screen up to Gilman's point at 5681 m. till you arrive on the crater rim by sunrise. Continue on to Uhuru Peak the highest point in Africa at 5896 m. Descend to Horombo Hut for overnight. Taking 7 to 8 hours ascent and 4 to 7 hours descent. Meals and overnight Horombo hut (FB)

Descent to gate. After breakfast descend the mountain to the park Gate ( 5 to 7 hours). Meet your driver-guide then transferred to Lake Manyara National Park for Tanzanian Safari. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive in the Lake National Park whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, flamingos and other varieties of birdlife. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Manyara Serena lodge (DBB)

After an early breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park. Lunch at the lodge. Spend the afternoon game viewing in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena (FB)

Depart for an early morning around your lodge, return to the lodge for breakfast. Mid morning, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lunch at the lodge. This afternoon, you will descend over 600 metres to the floor of the crater for a half day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena lodge (FB)

After breakfast depart for Tarangire National Park arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon of game viewing. Lesser kudu, eland, lion and gerenuk can be found in this beautiful park, noted for its multitude of baobab trees and its tree-climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge (FB)

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Tarangire National Park. Breakfast at the lodge, followed by the drive back to Arusha with game viewing en route. Lunch in Arusha town. Transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight home.
