Detailed programm

Day 1

Ethiopia Arrival to Addis Ababa (early morning 00-30) and transfer to Sheraton Hotel 5* (or another hotel of your choice)After early breakfast flight to АХИМ. Visit to “Stele Park” (Unesco heritage site). You will visit Castle of Queen Sheba and King Kolebs, this is one of the famous museums of Ethiopia, visit to church St. Mary of Tsion. And you would finish your excursion at the residence of Queen Sheba (unfortunately only ruins of the castle remains till today).Overnight at Yeha Hotel (FI)

Day 2

AXUM – Gondar After early breakfast you will travel to historical capital of Ethiopia (in 17 and 18 century) Gondar. Check in to your GOHA Hotel. And after lunch depart for tour to this old town. You will visit old churches, admire architecture of 17thcentury, visit “king baths”(this is very large pool, which was filled ones a year with fresh water on a day of Epiphany Celebration. Then you will look at old churches Debre Birham Silassie and Trinity at Mount of light. Overnight at Yeha Hotel (FI)

Day 3

Gondar – Bahirdar After breakfast you will travel to town Bahir Dar, situated at the largest lake in a country – Таna. In lake Tana is 37 small islands and each of them is very unique. Here you will have a chance to dive into 17-18 century and admire old churches and architecture of that times.After lunch you would travel to see famous Blue Nile Falls located 32 km out of town. Locals call the Falls “Smoke of fire”. After visit to the falls you will return to Bahir Dar.Overnight at Abayminch Hotel (FI)

Day 4

Bahirdar – Lalibela Early breakfast. Excursion to Lalibela (you will travel approximately 285 km).You will see stone castle”Кing of Lalibela” (1181 -1221), town is called in its name. Then you will carry on with excursion through all 11 castles of Lalibela. (all of them are Unesco Heritage sites). Overnight at Mountain View FI

Day 5

Lalibela – Addis – Awassa After breakfast – transfer to airport and flight to Addis Ababa. On arrival city sites tour if time permits and then transfer to Awassa. Overnight at Tadesse Injori Hotel FI

Day 6

Awassa – Moyale Early breakfast and transfer into southern direction to Moyale. (approximately 500 км). Moyale is a trading town, which is devide into 2 halfs: bigger part is in southern part of Ethiopia in area called Oromia and smaller part is in Kenya. Town is located right on a border between two countries.Overnight at Koket Hotel FI

Day 7

Moyale – Kenya (Samburu National Park) 07-00 Breakfast. Transfer to Ethio (Moyale) to the border with Kenya. Passport control. Тransfer from Moyale through northern part of Kenya to Sumburu National park. (Duration of transfer-full day, lunch on a way) Overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge HB

Day 8

Kenya - Naro Moru You will be picked from Samburu Sopa lodge in a morning and have a game drive through Samburu National Park enroute to Mt. Kenya region. You will be transferred to Naromoru National Park for preparation for your climb of Mount Kenya next morning.All meals and overnight at Naru Moru River Lodge (FB)

Day 9

Meteorological Station 3-4 hrs, 10km, 400m ascent Transfer to Naromoru Park Gate for registration and where the hike starts, 2600m From the Sirimon Gate, keep to the park track, which follows the crest of a board ridge between the Northern and Southern Naromoru valleys. The going is easy and it’s a pleasant walking through the forest. About two thirds of the way up after the bridge there are good views to the left north down into the Northern Naromoru valley. The trek ends at Met station 3,000m where dinner and overnight rest will be (FB)

Day 10

Met Station/Mackinders Camp 5-6 hrs, 10km, 1200m ascent Head uphill on the track to pass the radio must on your right after about half an hour. The trek runs into a path and after another 30 minutes, you will reach the end of the forest belt and enter the moorland. This is the vertical bog conditions range from damp to glutinous depending on when it last rained. Continue through until the going improves and you reach a fork overlooking Teleki Valley to reach Mackinders Camp, 4,200m. Dinner and overnight at Mackinders Camp, (FB)

Day 11

Mackinders Camp/Point Lenana/Met Station 8-10 hrs, 11km, 785m ascent The normal approach is to start at 2 am in order to reach point Lenana taking about 4 hr walk by sunrise at 6:30am. After sunrise, descend down to Mackinders Camp for breakfast, 2hrs and walk further 4hrs, way back to Met Station for dinner and overnight (FB)

Day 12

Met Station/Naromoru/Nairobi 3hrs, 9km, 400m After breakfast, descend through the rainforest which is 9km to Naromoru Park Gate at 2,600m where you will connect with your transport back to Nairobi. Transfer to your hotel Nairobi Safari Club (BB)

Day 13

Nairob i- Tanzania 360км. After breakfast you will meet our guide at reception and take transfer to Tanzania to Arusha. After passport control we will arrive to Tarangire National park, named after river Tarangire. This river get completely dry in a dry season, but still is a source of fresh water for whole region. River flows from south to the north into lake Burungi. More animals are coming to the park just before rainy season. The most commonly seen here: zebra, buffalo, eiland, waterbuck, gnu and others. This is also a reason why lions and leopards like this park.In a park with the territory of 22000 ha you can find more then 550 types of birds. Overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge 3* FB

Day 14

Serengeti, 300 кm. After early breakfast you depart lodge and travel to Serengeti National park. You will stop for picnic lunch and then will carry on with your safari. Just in time for dinner you will arrive to Serengeti Wildlife Lodge 3*. Overnight at Serengeti Wildlife Lodge. Serengeti named from Masai word «Siringet», which means “endless plains”. It this unique ecosystem there are more then 4,5 mil wild animals namely: gnu, different antilope species, giraffes, buffalos, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, lions, etc.

Day 15

Serengeti-Lake Victoria, 240км. Early breakfast and we depart on safari to the central part of the national park. After lunch we will travel to Lake Victoria and will arrive before dinner. Lake Victoria is situated in titanic cavity of East Africa at the altitude of 1134 m. This is the second largest lake in a world and biggest in its size lake in Africa. First European, who discovered this lake was John Henning Speke in 1858. And he called it Victoria in a name of Queen of England. Overnight at Speke Bay Lodge FB

Day 16

Lake Victoria This day will be a relaxing one for you at the lake of Victoria. You can just relax, fish or just go on a cruise. Overnight Speke Bay Lodge FB (Hire of boats or motorboats on your own account).

Day 17

Ngorongoro Crater, 405 кm. After breakfast we depart for Ngorongoro National Park. We will be on safari through the park and will be visiting the crater, where will see all “Big Five of Africa”. Ngorongoro crater diameter is between 17 & 21 кm and its total area is 26400 ha. Lake Magadi is situated at the right bottom of the crater. This lake if well known as a place for pink flamingoes. Ngorongoro crater for many years become an unique ecosystem partly separated from another world with its own population of animals who does not migrate and always staying in a crater. Estimated about 25000 animals live in a crater with highest population of carnivores in a world. Here you can also see endangered black rhino, a lot of elephants and hippopotamus are not common for these latitudes. Overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge 3* FB

Day 18

Ngorongoro-Arusha, 190 кm. Morning safari in the National Park, breakfast, check out from the lodge and transfer to Arusha. You will arrive to Arusha in the afternoon. Check in to the lodge and relax. Overnight at Kia Lodge 3* HB

Day 19

Mikumi National Park, 665 кm. Early morning breakfast and depart in southern direction for Mikumi National Park. This park is situated in central part of Tanzania on Ruaha river and forth biggest national park in a country. Rich in wild animals and vegetation of Mkata savanna, famous for unique acacia species, Mkata national park is a place not to be missed in Tanzania. Here you will also find a lot of eilands-largest African antilope and very gracious sable antilope. More then 400 species of birds are found in a park as well. Overnight at Mikumi Wildlife Lodge 3* FB

Day 20

Mikumi-Southern Tanzania, 590 кm. Early morning safari, breakfast and you carry on your travel in southern direction to the border with Zambia. Overnight at Mbeya Hotel 3* BB

Day 21

Zambia 105 кm + 500 кm After early morning breakfast our guide will take you to the border post. Passport control you cross to Zambia and meet with Zambian guide and continue your travel through Zambia. (We recommend you to get supply of drinking water on Tanzanian side for this day). Lunch is on a way in one of the shabeens of a local village. Overnight at Mutinondo Wilderness Lodge HB

Day 22

Central Zambia - Lusaka, 500 кm. Breakfast. Transfer through central Zambia to Lusaka – Capital of Zambia. Lunch on a way in one of the local restaurants. Overnight at Lusaka Protea Hotel 4* BB

Day 23

Lusaka - Livingstone, 472 кm. After breakfast you will depart in western direction to Livingstone town, which is located next to famous Victoria Falls. Arrival in the afternoon to Livingstone. Check in to the hotel. Victoria Falls – one of the largest falls in a world with height of the fall more then 100 m and the volume of water 10 mil litres every minute in a rainy season. Local people call it Mosi O Tunya which means “Smoke that thunders”. The Falls were discovered by David Livingstone in 1855 and was also named for British Queen – Victoria Falls. After check in to your hotel you will depart at 16-00 for relaxing sunset cruise on Zambezi River (snacks and drinks are included) Overnight at Zambezi Sun Hotel 3* BB

Day 24

Victoria Falls - Namibia 550 кm. Early breakfast and tour to the falls (you can walk to the national park straight from your hotel). Check out and departure for Namibia, transfer to border post at Katima Mulilo. Passport control. Meet your Namibian guide on another side and travel through Caprivi region of Namibia. We will visit Popa Falls on our way to Rundu. These falls are on Kwando river and much smaller then Victoria Falls, but unique and pretty in their own way. Overnight Hakusembe Lodge 4* (FB). This area is also well know for fishing.

Day 25

Rundu - Etosha, 450 кm. Early morning breakfast, departure in southern direction to the well known Etosha National park – the biggest nature reserve in Namibia. Etosha in local Owambo language means “large white space” due to the large salty pan in a middle of reserve. Total area covered by national park is 22 275 km² and is is situated at the end of Kalahari semi desert approximately 400 кm from Windhoek and 125 km from Angola. After arrival to Namutoni Gate and check in to Namutoni Camp you would be taken for short afternoon safari in a park. Return to the lodge at 6 pm, rest, dinner. Overnight at Namutoni Camp 4* (FB)

Day 26

Etosha - Hoba Meteorite - Windhoek, 570 кm. After early morning breakfast you will go for morning safari in Etosha. Then we leave the park and drive in southern direction to Windhoek. Lunch on a way in one of the restaurants. (Windhoek – Settlement originated here from 1800 and was under leadership of Chief Nama, but the birthday of town was recorded from 1890 from the day Germany occupied this territory and proclaimed Windhoek as a main administrative centre of South-West Africa. The name of town means «Windy Corner». During First World War South Africa occupied Windhoek and till 1990 Namibia was under South African control as a province of RSA and only on 21 of March of 1990 became independent. Day 27

Windhoek - Sosswusvlei, 390 кm. Today we are travelling to well known area of Sossuvlei. Sossusvlei is in South-west of Namibia in Namib desert and about 5 hours drive from Windhoek. It is a large dry lake completely covered by sediment clays brought here in a rainy season by river Chauchaba. Also a lot of large dunes found here with a different colours of sand from yellow to orange with a highest of them up to 325 meters. Check in to the lodge, dinner. Overnight at Sossusvlei Lodge 4* (FB)

Day 28

Sossusvlei After early breakfast excursion to Sossusvlei, dead vlei and dunes. Return to your lodge in late afternoon, rest, dinner. Overnight at Sossusvlei Lodge 4* (FB)

Day 29

Aus Vista - Southern Namibia, 355 кm. We continue our trip in southern direction to Klein Aus Vista, lunch on a way in one of the local restaurants. Arrive to the lodge in late afternoon. Relax and enjoy a view of endless horizons of Namibia. Overnight at Aus Vista Lodge 4* (FB)

Day 30

Orange River - South Africa, 330 кm. Early morning wake up and breakfast. Today you are travelling to South Africa and will be going to Nooroewer border post first. Passport control. Meet your south African guide and travel further south in comfortable microbus. Arrive to town of Springbok and overnight here at Okiep Country Hotel 3* BB

Day 31

Springbok - Cape Town, 550 кm. Full day of driving through Namakwaland in direction of Cape Town. Lunch on a way and arriving to Cape Town in the late afternoon. Check in to City Lodge Waterfront 4* (BB). You can enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants in Waterfront – shopping and tourist area of Cape Town right in old harbour. You can also enjoy nightlife in CAPE TOWN, which he has a lot to offer. Overnight at City Lodge Waterfront 4* (BB)

Day 32

Cape Town Breakfast. Meet with your guide and depart for Full Day excursion to Cape of Good Hope. Includes in excursion: cruise to seal island, pinguide colony visit, lunch and visit to Cape of Good Hope Nature reserve. Overnight at City Lodge Waterfront 4* BB

Day 33

Cape Town - Departure Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Excursion in Cape Town city centre and take a ride to the top of Table mountain (weather permitted, tickets to cable car are excluded). Then transfer to winelands and visit couple of vineyards and wine tasting. Transfer to Cape Town International airport for your flight home in the evening.
